Rehab Training vs. Performance Training

What’s the difference? Well, there is none.

Physiology is Physiology.

Movement compensation patterns are movement compensation patterns.

So, whether the movement compensation pattern caused the hip to eventually deteriorate and require a hip replacement. Or the hip is causing shoulder pain in the baseball player. Either way; optimal performance has not being realized. And the functional movement pattern needs to be sorted out to create optimal performance.

Either way, individuals want to live life painfree.

Movement can be painfree.

And it’s important to sort out the compensation patterns so the body can move freely, optimally, and unlock your physical potential. No matter age and athletic pursuits. Whether it is to be able to sit on the floor with your grandchild or it is to to head to the MLB.

It takes a symphony of practices to sort out compensation patterns.

I firmly believe in the fundamental methodology of Pilates. Centering, Concentration, Control, Breath, Precision, & Flow. However, there are also other amazing practices out there I use to assist in this process of post-rehab and performance training. That is why it is a Pilates Synthesis. When training, I utilizing other important practices and combine that with the classical Pilates method and apparatus to create optimal performance outcomes for individuals.

I have seen in my 10 plus years of training individuals, as no two bodies are alike, not one particular method will resolve and create optimal performance for an individual.
