Hello! And thank you for stopping by. I hope all this information will inspire you to find out if movement training is right for you.

Over the years I have invested significantly in continuing education opportunities. Some of which include:

What does all this continuing education do? Well, I believe it takes the classical Pilates repertoire and adds the layers of science of the human body and make the ingenious work of Joseph Pilates available to anyone. To anyone that wants to move better, progress past a plateau, move with less pain, and to be able to enjoy life to the fullest!

After immersing myself in the Hero’s in Motion® curriculum, I knew that post-Rehab work was part of my passion, and what I wanted to do. This began a fire within myself to find the additional educational opportunities, new modalities, and create a new synthesis of my teaching. I wanted to be able to assist anyone in their journey to move better, move with less pain, move more for longevity. And I realized, sometimes you have to go out of the standard format to achieve this lofty goal. That is what drove me to a Pilates Synthesis, if you will.

So, when you come for a session it is based on the brilliant principles of Joseph Pilates and utilizing the unlimited possibilities with the Pilates apparatus. We create a plan together. It probably won’t be straight and narrow, but rather have a switch back or two to address something or other. Always with the end result of your goals in mind. During that time, we may do different Pilates-ISH movements, so that you will feel better, move better, and achieve greater results.

The other half of my Pilates passion would be Sports Performance. Competitive youth, College, or Masters athletes. I love watching an athlete succeed at unthinkable goals and Pilates be a supporting factor for that success. Faster times, increasing miles, better hitting or striking accuracy, or surge of focus; it is all attainable. Training to prevent injury and create balanced musculature is key to powerful stamina in the competitive field. I like to think that we can all keep up with our athletic egos as life unfolds.

And how did I come to Pilates in the first place, you may ask?

I have come from a different path to Pilates. My formal college education is Industrial Engineering. And what does that mean? Industrial Engineering is the study and implementation of efficiency patterns whether it be in manufacturing or technology systems. In my case, I used it in Healthcare Informatics for many years as a Project Director. But the ideological framework of always thinking of efficiency, seeing how efficiency can be achieved, implementing a system to achieve efficient movement is always top of mind. Therefore wasted energy, in the form of inefficient movement patterns and painful patterns, are addressed in training sessions.

I digress…after getting married to a career Naval Aviator and having our son I quickly realized the travel of 4 days a week to client site was not going to be a possibility for our family. And, my Pilates career was born over a decade ago! Eek! I won’t tell the exact date, but just know I have been teaching over 10 years.

Being a Navy wife, we moved every 2-3 years. And Pilates has let me have a fulfilling career through moves around the world, and finally here to Fort Worth, Texas. In all our Navy homes I have found amazing clients to work with, challenging educational opportunities, and a drive to become a better instructor to follow my passion.

If you have read this far….you are amazing and my favorite! Thank you for investigating Pilates Synthesis. I hope you learned a little more about me, my passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals, and feel inspired to start your own movement journey.

Sessions are based on your capabilities, your goals, and what can be done to ensure you get there. This is not cookie cutter training. All the while; creating the pathway for meaningful and positive impact for your movement.
